Shontelle (Shontelle Layne) is the new up-and-coming singer-songwriter and rapper, best known for her hit single T-shirt from the album Shontelligence. She has worked and teamed-up with a lot of artist like Akon and Alison Hinds.
Some people say that Shontelle’s music is somewhat similar to that of Rihanna’s. Actually both singers, Shontelle and Rihanna, are from Barbados and came from the same school. Shontelle even wrote a song, ‘Roll It’, which featured Rihanna and J-status on vocals. Shontelle describes her music as empowering to women and that they can easily relate to her songs.
